We're Back

Oh, such mixed feelings! Wonderful to be back after eleven weeks with friends and family. But so hard to say goodbye to the freedom and the fun of being away. After five weeks in Spain, roaming from Madrid to Valencia, then south to all those romantic Andalucian cities- Granada with its Alhambra, Cordoba and its mosque, Ronda, Arcos - then north through places like Caceres and Salamanca, to the end of the pilgrim track at Santiago, all across the north borders of Spain, cooking classes in Arriondas, eating pinxtos in San Sebastian, south again to glorious Segovia with that magical aqueduct. and back to gracious Madrid ... they were weeks to remember.

The following time in Prague was a satisfying mix of student life - and such fun to graduate from Charles University (we actually got to sing Gaudeamus Igitur at our Graduation Ceremony, and I now have not only a certificate but also a t-shirt to prove I've done it!) - and straight tourism in this loveliest of cities. To live in Prague as a resident, not just a tourist - another experience to remember. Then a week in Germany with the usual warm welcome and generous hospitality of relatives ... you can see why it's hard to come home. But good things here too. The new book is well along the way. There's a striking cover design, the internal graphic work is intriguing and integrates the work well, and I'm starting to get excited, as well as panicking, about the book launches. We're hoping to get invitations out later this week or early next - October 16 is not far off. 'Passion Play - the Oberammergau Tales' is about to enter the world.
